Welcome to my portfolio! These pages will take you on a journey through my development
as a teacher. The purpose of this is to provide you as well as other administrators, colleagues, parents, students, and
interested individuals with an opportunity to witness the work that I am currently doing. The information and artifacts presented here
are matched to the six professional teaching standards of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), where I teach, to make your adventure more relevant and relaxing. I hope that you enjoy your stay
on my site and look forward to reading your comments and suggestions.
But before you look further, I suspect you would like to know a bit more. . .
About Me
I am currently teaching ESOL/METS at Parkland Middle School. This experience is part of my second year in the Teachers 2000 Teaching Corps Fellows program at George Washington University where I am completing my Master's in Secondary Education.
As part of this exciting fellowship, I have also had the opportunity to serve as a student teacher in several other Montgomery
County Schools. My experience in the field of education prior to joining the GWU and MCPS teams includes two years teaching
English as a Foreign Language with the Peace Corps in Uzbekistan, teaching ESOL classes for adults in Arlington
County, VA and Nashville, TN as well as choosing a training and education focus while completing my Master's degree
in International Peace and Conflict Resolution.
